Hotels with incredible swimming pools in the world

It can often feel like there are very few perks to business travel. While your friends may envy the exotic sounding trips you get to make, you can often feel like all you get to see is an endless series of meeting rooms followed by a hotel bar and a bedroom. Sometimes, during a particularly gruelling work tour, you can even find it hard to remember what country you’re in!

However, sometimes you get a hotel, a flight or an experience that is truly special and makes it all seem worthwhile. Some business hotels feature some really excellent features that can make travelling a real pleasure, and, if you like to get some exercise and relax in your limited downtime, a spectacular pool can be a really uplifting thing.

Here are some business hotels which some truly amazing swimming pools that can become the highlight of your trip:

The Joule – Dallas, USA

Although this stunning hotel has recently undergone a huge overhaul, which cost an estimated $78 million, by far the most astonishing feature is still its famous swimming pool, The Joule Pool. The pool was already a part of the hotel’s success and was one of the few things that weren’t changed in the general upgrade.

Designed by Adam Tihany, it is a rooftop pool that uses glass to create an effect that goes beyond the usual infinity pool, making swimmers feel like they are actually swimming beyond the roof itself. With its stunning lighting, beautiful modernist archway and luxurious cabanas, this is somewhere you’ll want to spend every second of your free time, and the pool has a fantastic food and drinks service, meaning that you can!

The China World Summit Wing – Beijing, China

This hotel is inside the China World Tower, which is the tallest building in Beijing’s sensational skyline. The pool is on the 78th floor, and the whole of its walls are made of glass from ceiling to floor, giving you a unique view of the city. As you swim in the huge infinity pool, gazing out at the panoramic views, music is also piped in under the water to create an incredible ambiance.

The Mandarin Oriental – Paris, France

Paris has many fantastic hotels, but if you want to swim in a really impressive pool, choose the Mandarin Oriental. Its pool is underground in a serene and tranquil setting that feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of inner city Paris. With its high ceilings, it is like a subterranean cathedral complete with its own artificial waterfall, which makes you feel calmed and refreshed as you swim.

If you’re planning a trip to Dallas, Beijing or Paris in the future and love to swim, or simply relax by the pool, it is well worth mentioning your interest in one of these amazing hotels to your company’s logistics people or any business travel agencies you use. You never know, you could be lucky enough to be swimming in one of these fantastic pools after a productive day’s work!
